From the farm, since 2021
Gakenke is a cooperative of about nine hundred smallholders in the hills of Rwanda's Northern Province. Each member brings cherries to the washing station on the same day they are picked, where they are sorted by hand before pulping.
The cup is clean and bright, with a black tea finish that makes it our favourite coffee for a long afternoon filter.
